Pittsburgh 2010 Schedule

Conference in Haiti. Proposed Itinerary

  Because of the Earthquake,

we will not be going to Haiti in 2010.

See "Pittsburgh October 2010"

for conference details.

Here is Bill Bollendorf’s idea of an interesting trip to Haiti. This is just a place to start, a proposed itinerary. None of the details have been decided. All input is welcomed warmly. Please email Cammie  cammie.scully@waterloo-ia.org  with your feedback and suggestions.

For those of you who have not been to Haiti, it can be a difficult place.  It is hot, the mosquitoes bite, you get stuck in traffic for hours, you may get ill, there are people begging frequently, some of them with heartbreaking conditions, plus there are a lot of steps to climb. Normally all this is outweighed by the enriching human drama that is present wherever you go, flowing around you, enveloping you. Plus there is more wonderful Haitian Art than anyplace else in the world.
